Last week, I took 3 days off to deal with stuff. I’m sure you were laughing at me for thinking 3 days would do it.
Not even close.
You know the drill: you start with one thing, then realize that to finish that thing, you have to do another thing. It starts to snowball and doesn’t stop until you have gone through every cabinet, closet and drawer looking to delete the old and make space for the new.
I have a decent sewing machine. It hasn’t been used for maybe 15 years with the exception of the couple of months I made covid masks. I could keep it, but then I would have to keep the sewing machine table, which is made of wood and really can’t be stored in the garage. But I have nowhere to store it in the house. Unless I move something else to somewhere else, but that would mean moving some other thing to some other unavailable space …
See what I mean? Mind-boggling. And I don’t want to live in an over-crowded home.
So, I’m taking this verse as my guide:
And let us not get tired of doing what is right,
for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing
if we don’t get discouraged and give up.
Galatians 6:9 Living Bible
Is what I’m doing right? Yes.
Am I feeling discouraged? Maybe a little.
Do I know that the God will reward my stewardship? Absolutely.
So, it’s back to the garage to continue subduing, with the firm belief that there is a blessing coming.
Anybody need a sewing machine? Or a 6″ foot folding banquet table?
