Weathering the Storm

Posted on January 10, 2024 by Pam R

Yet man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward.
Job 5:7 NIV

**********

“Our lives can be filled with a series of trials. Some would say
“You’re either in one, coming out of one or one is on the way.”
During these times a flood of emotions
can creep into our lives like a dark unrelenting storm.
I’m comforted by what God says:
“Weeping may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the morning.” (Ps 30:5)
So please take heart, this too shall pass.
Jason Versey, A Walk with Prudence

**********

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Psalm 9:9-10 NIV

**********

“The wise man in the storm prays God not for safety from danger
but for deliverance from fear.
It is the storm within which endangers him,
not the storm without.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

**********

“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
Psalm 91:14-15 NIV

**********

“There are some things we learn on stormy seas
that we never learn on calm smooth waters.
The “God of the Storm” has something to teach us,

and His love always drives His actions.”
Danny L. Deaubé,
I Will Praise You in the Storm:
The Story of Stephen and Holly Deaubé, a Journey of Faith

**********

So who can separate us?
What can come between us and the love of God’s Anointed?
Can troubles, hardships, persecution, hunger,

poverty, danger, or even death?
The answer is, absolutely nothing.
Romans 8:35 The Voice

**********

“He knows when we go into the storm,
He watches over us in the storm,
and He can bring us out of the storm when His purposes have been fulfilled.”
Warren W. Wiersbe

**********

“I have told you these things,
so that in me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble.
But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 NIV

**********

“It often takes the darkness of a storm
to show us the light of God’s presence.”
Tony Evans
