Easter was strange this year. No new clothes, no gatherings in churches, no hugging fellow parishioners, no special dinners, no restaurants. Nothing at all except the fact that He is risen.
He is risen indeed!
And because there was nothing happening to distract me and nothing else to think about, that stayed with me all day. He is risen! He’s alive! For me, that means that no matter what is going on in the world, no matter what scary thing is happening or threatening, I am totally secure now, and always will be. Nothing can ever change what God has done. It is true, whether I believe it or not.
I woke with the words of this song in my head. I think I’ve eliminated any commercials, but apologize in advance if you have to sit through one. I love this song and hope you will, too, and find that it worth any inconvenience.
Don Francisco, He’s Alive!
No matter how devastating our struggles, disappointments,
and troubles are, they are only temporary.
No matter what happens to you,
no matter the depth of tragedy or pain you face,
no matter how death stalks you and your loved ones,
the Resurrection promises you a future of immeasurable good.
