I’m on a path, and I am under no illusion that it will be a walk in the park. In my experience, medical problems lead to dark, unpleasant places. But it’s different this time. This time I have an idea of what lies ahead, and I’m feeling courage and joy, instead of fear and sorrow. That is not quite accurate: I’m aware that I am not alone. I am surrounded by Love.
Christ beside me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me, Christ within me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me.
Saint Patrick
That’s where the courage and joy come from. So even though I’m at the beginning, I want to pray this prayer with all my heart.
God, I want to see You.
God, I want to hear You.
God, I want to know You.
God, I want to follow hard after You.
And even before I know what I will face today,
I say yes to You.

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning,
for I am trusting you.
Show me where to walk,
for I give myself to you.
Psalm 143:8 NLT
