Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Matthew 5:5 NIV

to submit and work under proper authority.
It also shows a willingness to disregard one’s own “rights” and privileges.
It is one thing for me to admit my own spiritual bankruptcy,
but what if someone else does it for me? Do I react meekly?
David Guzik

Matthew 5:5 Worldwide English (New Testament)

Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, spiritually prosperous—
with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation,
regardless of their outward conditions)
are the meek (the mild, patient, long-suffering),
for they shall inherit the earth!
Matthew 5:5 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

and invites us to share the blessing that he has pronounced
upon the meek and lowly in heart.”
