The God Who Guides

Posted on January 25, 2022January 24, 2022 by Pam R

I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you,
instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life.
I will advise you along the way
and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide.

Psalm 32:8 The Passion Translation

God warns.

But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.” Genesis 2:16-17 NLT

The Lord is good and glad to teach the proper path to all who go astray;
he will teach the ways that are right and best to those who humbly turn to him.
And when we obey him,
every path he guides us on is fragrant with his loving-kindness and his truth.
Psalm 25:8-9 Living Bible

God directs.

The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. Genesis 12:1 NLT

Trust in the Lord completely,
and do not rely on your own opinions.
With all your heart rely on him to guide you,
and he will lead you in every decision you make.

Proverbs 3:5 TPT

God leads.

“Praise the Lord, the God of my master, Abraham,” he said. “The Lord has shown unfailing love and faithfulness to my master, for he has led me straight to my master’s relatives.” Genesis 24:27 NLT

Teach me how to do Your will,
    for You are my God.
Allow Your good Spirit to guide me on level ground,

to guide me along Your path.
Psalm 143:10 The Voice

God puts us in the right place at the right time.

But Joseph replied, “Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, that I can punish you? You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. Genesis 50:19-20 NLT

Know this: the Lord takes
    personal care of the faithful.
The Lord will hear me when I cry out to him.

Psalm 4:3 Common English Bible
