Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!
As I stepped out of the shower, I stubbed several toes on the rim of the tub. One in particular, really hurt. Realizing that even if it was broken, it would only be immobilized, I buddy-taped it to the next toe. It was a partial fix: That toe was still angry and told me so with every step.
At breakfast I told Jenna (my adult daughter who lives with me) what had happened and what I’d done.
“How does that work?” she asked.
Pleased at her interest in practical first-aid, I was starting to talk about the science behind buddy-taping, when she continued.
“What if one wants to go to market and the other wants to stay home?”

Thanks. The piggies are better but the giggles haven’t stopped yet!
