One of the most energy consuming chores of Spring Cleaning is scrubbing floors. Oh, sure, I mop my floors frequently, but I find that once (or twice) a year I need to get eye to eye with the dirt and give a good scrub. On my knees. With brush, bucket and lots of effort. I am determined to get every speck, every mark. I use a knife for chewing gum (now which kid did this?), a degreaser for the tar (my husband was on the roof, not sure why). There is a glow that is not all fatigue when I finish and see the shining results of my hard work.

Oh, Lord, there I was on my knees in the attitude of prayer, but I did not even think of You! All that effort, all that energy, all that determination directed solely toward a clean floor that people will walk on and dirty, most likely as soon as later today! What would happen if I put that much of myself into my prayer life? What could not be accomplished for You? And in me? Help me to see beyond clean floors. To hold the attitude of prayer whether on my knees or in my heart. Clean is not forever. You are. And so am I.
Congratulations on the launch of your blog! I like it! Good luck Pam ❤️
