Random Acts of Kindness Day

Posted on February 17, 2025 by Pam R

Be Somebody who makes Everybody feel like a Somebody.
Brad Montague

***

Random Acts of Kindness Day, observed on February 17 each year, encourages people to perform unsolicited good deeds, like complimenting someone, helping a neighbor, or volunteering at a local charity. The goal is to make the world a better place through simple gestures and acts of kindness. And the world certainly needs all the goodness and kindness it can get these days.

***

You have the power to make the world a better place
by being kind to someone today.

Joyce Meyer

***

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves,
you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy,
kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
Colossians 3:12 NLT

***

When you carry out acts of kindness you get a wonderful feeling inside.
It is as though something inside your body responds and says,
yes, this is how I ought to feel.

Harold S. Kushner

***

Once you begin to acknowledge random acts of kindness –
both the ones you have received and the ones you have given –
you can no longer believe that what you do does not matter.

Dawna Markova

***

Kind words are like honey—
sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.
Proverbs 16:24 NLT

***

Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check,
but that is not what I have found.
I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk
that keep the darkness at bay, small acts of kindness and love.

Peter Jackson

***

The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves.
Amelia Earhart

***

Live out this God-created identity the way our Father lives toward us,
generously and graciously, even when we’re at our worst.
Our Father is kind; you be kind.
Luke 6:36 The Message

***

Limited opportunity to interact with others? How about this: when someone to cross your mind, pray a blessing for them. Who knows what God can – and will – do with that.
