“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart.
And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give.
So don’t be troubled or afraid.
John 14:27 NLT
***
When Jesus went to his disciples on the evening of his resurrection,
the first thing he said to them was, “Peace be with you.”
That has not changed.
When you are in the presence of God, you are in a place of peace.
Peace comes from the presence of someone
who made you in love and keeps you in grace,
someone you can count on to be with you in all things.
When you are in God’s presence,
you are with one who knows you better than anyone does
and who wants you to have the best life has to offer.
In such a presence you have an inner calm
that exceeds human understanding and measurement.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Then you will experience God’s peace,
which exceeds anything we can understand.
His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
