love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Did you notice that there is a Christian virtue left off the list? Hope is not mentioned! I wonder if that is because hope is implied in patience. Patience suggests enduring all kinds of suffering while waiting for rescue or resolution. Hope believes that the rescue is on its way.
