Our True Father

Posted on June 17, 2021June 15, 2021 by Pam R

I will be a true Father to you, and you will be my beloved sons and daughters,”
    says the Lord Yahweh Almighty.

2 Corinthians 6:18 The Passion Translation

And so that we would know that we are his true children,
God released the Spirit of Sonship into our hearts—moving us to cry out intimately, “My Father! My true Father!” Galatians 4:6 The Passion Translation

And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough.
But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God.
And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us,
our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!”
For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “
You are God’s beloved child!”
Romans 8:15-16 The Passion Translation

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!
But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.
Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears.
But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.
1 John 3:1-2 New Living Translation

If you, imperfect as you are, know how to lovingly take care of your children and give them what’s best,
how much more ready is your heavenly Father to give wonderful gifts to those who ask him?”
Matthew 7:11 The Passion Translation

So don’t ever be afraid, dearest friends! Your loving Father joyously gives you his kingdom with all its promises!
Luke 12:32 The Passion Translation

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father,
who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope,
comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say.
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 New Living Translation
