October?

Posted on October 10, 2023October 9, 2023 by Pam R

So, there I was, scrolling through images of “October,” when I came across this:

Hmm. Not grammatical, but interesting. And just as I was bemoaning the fact that I have no influence on the weather …

Let’s think about this.

“If you focus on what you can’t control,
you’re a little crazy inside, angry and depressed.
If you focus most of the time on what you don’t have instead of what you do have,
you’re going to be extremely unhappy.”
Tony Robbins

“You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast
[that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character],
Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].
Isaiah 26:3 Amplified Bible

“Focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses.
Focus on your character, not your reputation.
Focus on your blessings, not your misfortunes.”
Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things],
not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value].
Colossians 3:2 Amplified Bible

“Instead of focusing on how much you can accomplish,
focus on how much you can absolutely love what you’re doing.”
Leo Babauta

When you view your world with an attitude of gratitude,
you are training yourself to focus on the good in life.

Paul J. Meyer

So we do not set our sights on the things we can see with our eyes.
All of that is fleeting; it will eventually fade away.
Instead, we focus on the things we cannot see, which live on and on.
2 Corinthians 4:18 The Voice

When trouble comes,
focus on God’s ability to care for you.

Charles Stanley

The more completely we focus our attention on our Creator and Lord,
the less chance there is of our being distracted by creatures.

Saint Ignatius

PERPETUALLY my focus takes me to the Eternal
because He will set me free from the traps laid for me.
Psalm 25:15 The Voice

Every day is a gift from God.
Learn to focus on the Giver and enjoy the gift!
Joyce Meyer
