Seems it was the right decision when I decided not to block up the rabbit’s home. I heard today (while I was putting up the fence to protect the roses) that there have been coyotes seen in the neighborhood. Not just anywhere either but in the park area between the buildings sitting nonchalantly on a porch. (No, it wasn’t a dog.)
This, of course, changes everything. Just as I won’t make it easy for the bunnies to eat my flowers, I won’t make it easy for the coyotes to eat my bunnies.
Because, suddenly, for me, the rabbits are no longer my enemies. They are under my protection. (And my front porch.)
Just as I am under God’s protection.
For you are my hiding place;
you protect me from trouble.
You surround me with songs of victory.

So, welcome, little rabbits!
