But God, with the unfathomable richness of His love and mercy focused on us,
united us with the Anointed One and infused our lifeless souls with life—
even though we were buried under mountains of sin—
and saved us by His grace.
Ephesians 2:4-5 The Voice
“the unfathomable richness of His love and mercy focused on us”.
Imagine that! He focused Love and Mercy on us long before we ever began to focus on Him. And He won’t stop – ever!

So where should we focus attention?
Not on ourselves.
Don’t focus on yourself because it changes all the time.
Focus on God because he loves you and he will never change.

Not on our problems.
When you focus on God’s promises instead of the problems,
you’ll notice your thoughts will be healthier and filled with peace.

Not on life’s storm.
Focus on thanking and praising God, even – especially – in the storms.

For he will not often consider the [troubled] days of his life,
because God keeps him occupied and focused on the joy of his heart
[and the tranquility of God indwells him].
Ecclesiastes 5:20 Amplified Bible
Not on our helplessness.
If there’s nothing you can do about it,
then focus on other things and leave it to God.
Terry Mark
Not on others’ behaviors.
Life is best lived when you care less about what others say or do to you
and focus on what God has already promised you.

Not on our feelings.
As a Christian, instead of concentrating on how you feel,
focus on what you know to be truth from the Word of God.
Joyce Meyer

I meditate and thoughtfully focus on You in the night watches,
For You have been my help,
And in the shadow of Your wings [where I am always protected] I sing for joy.
Psalm 63:6-7 Amplified Bible
