I look up at the vast size of the mountains—
from where will my help come in times of trouble?
The Eternal Creator of heaven and earth and these mountains
will send the help I need.
Psalm 121:1-2 The Voice
God, I look to You, I won’t be overwhelmed.
Give me vision to see things like You do.
God, I look to You, You’re where my help comes from.
Give me wisdom, You know just what to do.
(“Lord, I Look to You,” Bethel Music, Lyrics by Jenn Johnson)
Reverence for the Eternal is the first step toward wisdom.
All those who worship Him have a good understanding.
His praise will echo through eternity!
Psalm 111:10 The Voice
**********
The Eternal is my rock, my fortress, and my salvation;
He is my True God, the stronghold in which I hide,
my strong shield, the horn that calls forth help, and my tall-walled tower.
I call out to the Eternal, who is worthy to be praised—
that’s how I will be rescued from my enemies.
Psalm 18:2-3 The Voice
And I will love You Lord my strength
And I will love You Lord my shield
And I will love You Lord my rock
Forever all my days I will love You God.
(ibid.)
**********
Praise the Eternal!
Praise the Eternal, O my soul;
I will praise the Eternal for as long as I live.
I will sing praises to my God as long as breath fills my lungs
and blood flows through my veins.
Psalm 146:1-2 The Voice
Hallelujah our God reigns
Hallelujah our God reigns
Hallelujah our God you reigns
Forever all my days Hallelujah
(ibid.)
Blessed are those whose help comes from the God of Jacob,
whose hope is centered in the Eternal their God—
Who created the heavens, the earth,
the seas, and all that lives within them;
Who stays true and remains faithful forever;
Psalm 146:5-6 The Voice
