Most of us have childhood memories of not being “chosen.” Not chosen for that part in a play, not chosen to play on the team, or chosen last, reluctantly, on the playground. Not chosen for whatever we had our heart set on. It’s easy to go from there to “not good enough,” “not important,” “not wanted.”
Those childhood scars can linger into adulthood and create bigger problems. What will happen when people find out that I’m not good enough, important or wanted? Rather than risk rejection, I’ll just keep my head down and hide.
But there is a place where each of us more than good enough, important and very, very wanted. Chosen.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing
in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
Even before he made the world,
God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family
by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ.
This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
Ephesians 1:3-5 NLT
YOU ARE CHOSEN. You have ALWAYS been chosen.
We may be overlooked by others,
but we are handpicked by God.

And the One Who chose you is never wrong. Sit for a minute with that truth.
Thanks!
