A Time for Everything

Posted on October 12, 2020October 11, 2020 by Pam R

There is a right time for everything:
2 A time to be born;
A time to die;
A time to plant;
A time to harvest;
3 A time to kill;
A time to heal;
A time to destroy;
A time to rebuild;
4 A time to cry;
A time to laugh;
A time to grieve;
A time to dance;
5 A time for scattering stones;
A time for gathering stones;
A time to hug;
A time not to hug;
6 A time to find;
A time to lose;
A time for keeping;
A time for throwing away;
7 A time to tear;
A time to repair;
A time to be quiet;
A time to speak up;
8 A time for loving;
A time for hating;
A time for war;
A time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Living Bible

Time is free, but it’s priceless.
You can’t own it, but you can use it.
You can’t keep it, but you can spend it.
Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.
Harvey Mackay

We must not allow the clock and the calendar to blind us to the fact
that each moment of life is a miracle and mystery.
H. G. Wells

Time is clearly not our natural dimension.
Thus it is that we are never really at home in time.
Alternately, we find ourselves wishing to hasten
the passage of time or to hold back the dawn.
We can do neither, of course,
but whereas the fish is at home in water,
we are clearly not at home in time–because we belong to eternity.
Neal A. Maxwell

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.
J. R. R. Tolkien

But I am trusting you, O Lord.
I said, “You alone are my God; my times are in your hands.
Psalm 31:14a Living Bible
