There is Thanksgiving Day. But what about a Thanksgiving Month? I like to use November to remember, count, and celebrate my blessings. To be honest, 30 days is not enough time to remember all that I have been given. It is not enough to remember all the ways I have been protected and loved. But it is a start. Will you join me?
Develop an attitude of gratitude and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation. – Brian Tracy
If I’m sleepless at midnight,
I spend the hours in grateful reflection.
Because you’ve always stood up for me,
I’m free to run and play.
I hold on to you for dear life,
and you hold me steady as a post. Psalm 63: 6-8 MSG
Click on this link to hear a song called “Thankful,” a Song for Kids by Shawna Belt Edwards. It’s a counting song for kids, but for me, it touches something deep and sums everything up.
I like the idea of starting November with a grateful heart. I absolutely love snow, but I wasn’t very thankful to have snow in October before my yard tasks were completed!
I join you in a thankful month beginning today.
Thanks, Gini. I am thankful, too, that the snow is gone!
