We know that Jesus prayed for us before He died on the cross. We read that Jesus ever lives to intercede for us from heaven. Because we are His, we are offered the honor of joining Him in intercession for each other.
“Intercession is Jesus’ personal assignment,
and we have the privilege of joining Him in it.”
James W. Goll, The Lifestyle of a Watchman

“Intercessory prayer blesses both the one who prays and the one who receives.”

1 Timothy 2:1-2 NIV

So many afflictions, so many tragedies or desperate hopes that cry out for intercession.
Only an instant of my time, only a few words, a thought — and who knows?
It may be the only word of prayer that person will get.”
