… God Spoke Light
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
The earth was barren, with no form of life;
it was under a roaring ocean covered with darkness.
But the Spirit of God was moving over the water.
God said, “I command light to shine!” And light started shining.
Genesis 1:1-3 Contemporary English Version
(Mankind fell, and the darkness returned. But the dark will never win, no matter how dark it seems.)
The people who walk in darkness shall see a great Light—a Light that will shine on all those who live in the land of the shadow of death. Isaiah 9:2 Living Bible
Christ Brought Light
Before anything else existed, there was Christ, with God. He has always been alive and is himself God. He created everything there is—nothing exists that he didn’t make. Eternal life is in him, and this life gives light to all mankind. His life is the light that shines through the darkness—and the darkness can never extinguish it. John 1:1-5 Living Bible
… Jesus said to the people, “I am the Light of the world. So if you follow me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness, for living light will flood your path.” John 8:12 Living Bible
Because God is Light …
What we are telling you now is the very message we heard from Him: God is pure light, undimmed by darkness of any kind. 1 John 1:5 The Voice
… and the Light-Source …
And in the city, there is no need for the sun to light the day or moon the night because the resplendent glory of the Lord provides the city with warm, beautiful light and the Lamb illumines every corner of the new Jerusalem. Revelation 21:23 The Voice
… Forever
Nothing that has cursed mankind shall exist any longer; the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be within the city. His servants shall worship him; they shall see his face, and his name will be upon their foreheads. Night shall be no more; they have no more need for either lamplight or sunlight, for the Lord God will shed his light upon them and they shall reign as kings for timeless ages. Revelation 22:3-5 J.B. Phillips New Testament
The issue is now clear.
It is between light and darkness
and everyone must choose his side.
