We all know the “big” June holidays (Father’s Day, Flag Day, Summer Solstice, etc.). But wait! There’s more!
After searching several sites online, I discovered that June has some interesting observances:
June 1: National Heimlich Maneuver Day
National Say Something Nice Day
June 4: National Hug Your Cat Day (No sure when National Bandage Day is)
June 8: National Best Friends Day
June 18: National Go Fishing Day (also International Sushi Day. Coincidence? I think not.)
June 19: International Box Day (so get your cat a nice box to make up for all the hugging)
June 21: National Take Your Cat to Work Day (in the box, perhaps?)
June 22: National Kissing Day AND National Onion Ring Day (what were they thinking?)
June 24: National Work from Home Day (remember when it was something to celebrate?)
June 25: National Take Your Dog to Work Day (Unlike cats, dogs want to go with you!)
June 29: Hug Holiday (Note: a Holiday for Hugging, not Holiday from Hugging)
June is also a foodie’s paradise. Almost every day has it’s delicious honoree, and many of them include chocolate! So raise your fork to the month of June (Which, perhaps fortunately, begins with National Heimlich Maneuver Day!):
