But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him]
Will gain new strength and renew their power;
They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun];
They will run and not become weary,
They will walk and not grow tired. Isaiah 40:31 Amplified Bible
“Wait at His door with prayer;
wait at His feet with humility;
wait at His table with service;
wait at His window with expectancy.”
Charles Haddon Spurgeon
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14 (NIV)
Patient waiting is often the highest way of doing God’s will.
– Jeremy Collier (1650-1726) English bishop
Waiting on God requires the willingness to bear uncertainty,
to carry within oneself the unanswered question,
lifting the heart to God about it whenever it intrudes upon one’s thoughts.
Elisabeth Elliot

Lord, the only thing I can do is wait and put my hope in you.
I wait for your help, my God. Psalm 38:15 The Passion Translation
From my diary, March 2, 2017:
7 AM. It occurred to me this morning that this is my life. This so tired, dizzy, muzzy-headed life is what I have. So instead of waiting it out or wishing it different, I need to just live it. If I have been set aside and am being pruned, it is for a purpose. As I wait to learn that purpose, though, I must still be a good steward and live the life I have.
11:30 AM. So tired. I can’t go on like this.
No, I can go on as long as You want, Abba. Your grace is enough…
