It may seem that those who are poor and needy have been forgotten,
but God will not forget them. He will not leave them without hope.
Psalm 9:17-19 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
Sometimes “Aha moments” happen. You’re tuned into your church online, with no thoughts or expectations, when suddenly, out of the blue, a song hits you right between the eyes. It happened to me this past Sunday. The service opened with a song, new to me, titled “There’s Nothing that Our God Can’t Do.” Catchy beat, great words.
Then I heard this:
“There’s nothing that our God can’t do
There’s not a prison wall He can’t break through
Oh, praise the name that makes a way
There’s nothing that our God can’t do.”
Wow! There is nothing as hopeless as a prison, no one as helpless as a prisoner, whether confined physically by brick and mortar or emotionally by fears, doubts and disappointments.
But “There’s nothing that our God can’t do!” So I will believe God for all prisoners wherever they are. I will trust in God, Who heals brokenness and restores dreams. Because there is no power like the power of Jesus. There is nothing He can’t do. I will believe for greater things. Because that is Who He is.
Because There’s Nothing that Our God Can’t Do!

We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.
