The Lord gives his people strength.
The Lord blesses them with peace.
Psalm 29:11 NLT

In the Bible, shalom [peace] means universal flourishing, wholeness, and delight–
a rich state of affairs in which natural needs are satisfied and natural gifts fruitfully employed,
a state of affairs that inspires joyful wonder
as its Creator and Savior opens doors and welcomes the creatures in whom he delights.
Shalom, in other words, is the way things ought to be.
Cornelius Plantinga

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart.
And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give.
So don’t be troubled or afraid.
John 14:27 NLT

And now, dear Lord,
I acknowledge afresh that You are the God of all peace,
my Jehovah-Shalom.
My job is to receive. you give me Your peace.
My job is to take it.
You lead me to Your still waters.
My role is to follow.
You extend Your hand.
My role is to take hold.
My I enjoy Your presence and the tranquility of the still waters
where You pour out your promise of peace.
Amen.
