Grace and peace be with you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus the Anointed.
Whenever you cross my mind, I thank my God for you and for the gift of knowing you.
Philippians 1:2-3 The Voice
To everyone who reached out to me with warm wishes and kind words through cards, emails and texts, thank you. You made my day.
The beauty of faith-filled people encompasses me.
They are true, and my heart is thrilled beyond measure.
Psalm 16:3 The Voice
Update: I began vestibular therapy last week for dizziness, a symptom of my chronic fatigue syndrome. Basically, the therapist grabs me by the head and throws me down. (Okay, maybe a little oversimplified.) It seems to be working, but too soon to see results.
I have finished the punishing course of medicine. There is slight improvement in my ear. Now, we are in “wait and see” mode. Gratefully, I am sleeping again.
I don’t like waiting. I find myself asking, “Why?” That’s the wrong question. The right one is, “What now?” How do I handle theses (minor) inconveniences? My default setting is whining, but that doesn’t seem to be working for me. Maybe, I should be praising instead.
O my soul, come, praise the Eternal
with all that is in me—body, emotions, mind, and will—
every part of who I am—
praise His holy name.
O my soul, come, praise the Eternal;
sing a song from a grateful heart;
sing and never forget all the good He has done.
Psalm 103:1-2 The Voice
The good He has done is clear:
*I am in no pain.
*This is not even remotely life-threatening.
*I have everything I need and more.
*I have friends and family who care about me. (Again, thank you for being there for me.)
*He is with me. Always. Even when I’m whining.
I have told you these things so that you will be whole and at peace.
In this world, you will be plagued with times of trouble, but you need not fear;
I have triumphed over this corrupt world order.
John 16:33 The Voice
Really, is there a better reason to praise Him than that?
Keep that incense rising!
