Thirty years ago, I compiled a list of scriptures and quotes to encourage hurting women. It is now a document on my computer, and I refer to it occasionally.
Yesterday, when I sat down at my computer to write my “swan song,” that list was open. I had closed it last time I looked at it, I thought, but there it was. The quote I used yesterday is on that list, so I shrugged and scrolled down to find it.
But that is not all I found. As I scrolled down, I found abundant encouragement – for myself. Turns out that I’m the hurting woman now! Those words were there to help me. They were meant to be blogged, daily encouragements that I badly need right now. Encouragements I want to share.

Jesus told His disciples, don’t worry about what you’ll say or how you’ll say it. The right words will be there; the Spirit of your Father will supply the words. (Matthew 10:19b-20 The Message)

I didn’t see it coming, and I didn’t expect it. But that is exactly what God did! He gave me the words I needed to keep writing; words I didn’t have myself. Now I’m kind of looking forward to this journey with Chronic Fatigue, and to seeing what else God provides – exactly when I need it! Because He promised that, too.

And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need
according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
To our God and Father be the glory forever and ever.
Amen.
