Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.
Ecclesiastes 9:10a NIV

Last week, that meant working in the great room. Moving furniture, cleaning out drawers and cupboards, washing the floor, the rugs and the linens. Strenuous, but worth every effort. The room looks, well, great.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart,
as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
Colossians 3:23 NIV

This week, it means my bedroom. In addition to the above, there is the matter of stuff. A lot of stuff. Leftovers from my several hobbies. Stuff I haven’t touched in years — except to move it around.
They say that if you haven’t used a thing for a year, get rid of it. I’m not quite there yet. Still, this week I will work with all my might and all my heart as it says, and in the end, even if not quite perfect, it will be done. Until next time.

May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us—
yes, establish the work of our hands.
Psalm 90:17 NIV
