And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers
that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow,
he will certainly care for you.
Luke 12:28a NLT
Up until yesterday, a line of grape hyacinths snaked out of the flower bed into the lawn in an apparent attempt to escape. Then the lawn mowers came, and their adventure was … cut short. But the bulbs are still there beneath the grass. They will sleep until next year when they will bloom where they are planted … again.

Flowers grow back, even after they are stepped on.
So will I.

That is why we never give up.
Though our bodies are dying,
our inner strength in the Lord is growing every day.
These troubles and sufferings of ours are, after all,
quite small and won’t last very long.
Yet this short time of distress will result in God’s richest blessing upon us
forever and ever!
So we do not look at what we can see right now,
the troubles all around us,
but we look forward to the joys in heaven which we have not yet seen.
The troubles will soon be over,
but the joys to come will last forever.
