It Just Makes Sense…

God has filled this world with beauty. He has created us to experience that beauty especially through our senses. Here are some ideas for starters:
TASTES I AM THANKFUL FOR:
Chocolate!
The first morning coffee
Fruit (grapes, strawberries, avocados)
Ice cream
Cold water
Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind,
for he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things. Psalm 107: 8-9 NIV
SCENTS I AM GRATEFUL FOR:
Flowers (Roses, lilacs, lily of the valley)
The air after a thunderstorm
Fresh bread coming out of the oven
Campfires
Vanilla

SIGHTS I AM GRATEFUL FOR:
The first snowfall
A colorful sunset
The trees in autumn (and again in spring)
Fluffy clouds against a deep blue sky
Wild water: lakes, oceans, waterfalls

SOUNDS I AM GRATEFUL FOR:
Birdsong
Music
A child’s laughter
A purring cat
The voices of my friends
I will sing to the Lord because he has blessed me so richly. Psalm 13:6 (TLB)
TOUCHES I AM GRATEFUL FOR:
Fuzzy socks
A warm hug right when you need it
Sunshine on my face
Cool breezes
Warm towels straight out of the dryer

OTHER, MISCELLANEOUS THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR:
A good book (and the time to read it!)
A full tank of gas
A good hair day
A convenient space in a full parking lot
Modern conveniences: indoor plumbing, central heat/air conditioning, etc.
