3rd, Give Yourself …

Posted on December 15, 2021December 13, 2021 by Pam R

SPACE.

“We have to slow the rhythm of rush in our lives so that the best of who we are can emerge.”
Lysa TerKeurst

Space to Just Feel …

“Whatever you’re feeling, be good to yourself.
If you feel lost, be patient with yourself while you find your way.
If you feel scared, be gentle with yourself while you find the strength to face your fear.
If you feel hurt, be kind to yourself while you grieve and slowly heal.
You can’t bully yourself into clarity, courage, or peace, and you can’t rush self-discovery or transformation.
Some things simply take time, so take the pressure off and give yourself space to grow.”
Lori Deschene

You’re my place of quiet retreat; I wait for your Word to renew me. Psalm 119:114 The Message

I am humbled and quieted in your presence.
Like a contented child who rests on its mother’s lap,
I’m your resting child and my soul is content in you. Psalm 131:2 The Passion Translation

… Space to Just Breathe …

It is in solitude that we discover that being is more important than having
and that we are worth more than the results of our efforts.
In solitude we discover that our life is not a possession to be defended but a gift to be shared.
Henri Nouwen

We need quiet time to examine our lives openly and honestly –
spending quiet time alone gives your mind an opportunity to renew itself and create order.
Susan L. Taylor

Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Psalm 62:1 New International Version

… and Space to Listen …

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens … a time to be silent …
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 7b New International Version

Find the space to breathe and hear the whispers of God.
(unknown)

Silence is a place of great power and healing.
(unknown)

Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Psalm 37:7a New Living Translation

May we try to listen and be silent in order to

make space for the beauty of God.

Pope Francis
